A minimum grade of C is required of Interior Design majors in all FACS, ARTS, and ETCM courses and in all prerequisites for these courses. This program requires a 2.5 GPA.

The Interior Design specific courses (FACS designation) are only offered once per academic year, in either Fall or Spring, as noted in the plan of study with the exception of INDS1360.

INDS1360 is a prerequisite for INDS2386.

INDS2364, INDS2386, INDS2387 should be taken concurrently.

INDS1360orINDS2364 is a prerequisite for ETCM2363.

INDS2365,INDS2388,ETCM2363, and ARTS1316 are prerequisites for INDS3338.

ARTS3385 is a prerequisite for ARTS3383,ARTS4384, and ARTS4385.

A passing sophom*ore portfolio review is required along with departmental approval prior to taking INDS3338.

HUSC4369 requires departmental approval and the completion of 90 hours.

Marketable skills are those skills valued by employers and/or graduate programs that can be applied in a variety of work or education settings and may include interpersonal, cognitive, and applied skill areas.

The BA in Interior Design is designed to provide graduates with the following marketable skills:

  • Technical interior design knowledge.
  • Manual and digital drawing.
