A man in his 30s has died following an incident at a residence in Finglas in the early hours of Sunday morning, Gardai confirmed. A Garda investigation is underway after they and emergency services attended a residence in the Scribblestown area where a man in his 30s was found with serious injuries shortly after 1am. Treated at the scene of the incident, the man was later pronounced dead after being transported by ambulance to Connolly Hospital. With the office of the State Pathologist notified of the incident, a post-mortem examination will be arranged in due course. The scene is currently preserved for examination by the Garda Technical Bureau. A senior investigating officer (SIO) has also been appointed to lead the inquiry and an incident room has been established at Finglas Garda Station. A Garda Family Liaison Officer (FLO) has been assigned to keep the deceased’s family informed of developments. Gardai said in a statement: ‘Gardai are appealing for witnesses to come forward, particularly those who were in the Scribblestown area between midnight and 1am. Additionally, individuals with video recordings, including motorists with dash cams, from the area within the timeframe are asked to provide footage to investigating Gardai. The investigation is ongoing, and further updates will follow.’ Today's top videos
